A Brief Introduction
Having begun in 1989 producing graphics and design work, I must say that I don’t regret my choice of direction in life.
I love what I do.
Way back in elementary school is when my artistic talents were first noticed. The thing is, no one ever tells you that you can make a living producing artwork. Hence, throughout my high school years, my “hobby” of drawing was put aside because science, history and other subjects consumed my time. My parents wanted me to be an engineer or something of the sort. Needless to say, fate had a different plan for me.
Having re-discovered graphics in college, my course was set. School was no longer just homework and tests, but a place to soak up as much information as I could about the field of graphics. I learned enough to be hired on as a production artist at a silkscreen company just two weeks out of college. That’s when the learning really began.
Since then, I’ve worked with companies from one-man shops to global corporations and everything in between.
I’ve gained knowledge in reproduction and embellishment processes including offset printing, silkscreening, embroidery and dye sublimation. Having run my own business for 11 years gave me great insight to the value of budgeting and financial resource management. Not to mention how important it is to keep good records and always look for a better way to do things. This applies not only to business, but to artwork as well. How can I make this better? How can I do it faster? These are the questions that drive me to be better than I was yesterday.
This site is intended to showcase a fraction of the work that I’ve done over the years. What you will see are highlight pieces that are important to me. Designs that I feel are worth looking at, not only to demonstrate what I can do, but also because they solved a problem or were a hurdle that was overcome. Small, personal victories that I want to share with you. So, please, enjoy your time here.
